COMMISSIONS

My partner, Vic, is a professional pet & wildlife artist, who offers private commissions of people's pets.  There is a choice of pastel, pencil, acrylic and sketches, as shown below, all of which are completed from photographs, which are always returned with the completed painting.

90% of private buyers opt for pastel, as it creates a stunning fur texture, and due to pastels being built up in layers, they form an almost 3 dimensional effect, bringing the subject to life.  Pastels are also the purest form of pigment, therefore do not fade, crack or discolour, unlike oils, acrylics and watercolours, and last for hundreds of years looking fresh.  Along with the pastels, Vic always paints on velour paper, which is a heavy velvet feel paper, and the velour  coupled with the pastel, creates a beautiful soft and original feel.

Commissions can be ordered as single subjects, groups of dogs, or a group of any animals, and don't worry, they do not have to all be sat together!  Single favourite photographs can be used Vic creates a composition that suits all the subjects.

We offer framed or unframed work, and always advise international customers that they are best purchasing their painting unframed, to ensure it arrives safely, and it can then be framed on arrival at your local framing store, with a frame of your choice.

The waiting list varies, depending on what commissions Vic is currently working on, wildlife work, exhibitions and workshops etc, but it is normally approx. 8-12 weeks.  We always try to work to special occasions and our diary is always cleared in good time for Christmas orders.
