PRIVATE COMMISSIONS
On deciding to commission a portrait, please contact us for further details, and to obtain a more precise delivery time. Please bear in mind that for a period after Crufts and the run up to Christmas, Vic is always extremely busy with orders. We always try to work to a specific date if it is for a special occasion, however, we do need as much notice as possible.
Now, you need to make some decisions..... Do you want the portrait framing by us, or and unframed portrait to frame yourself? Do you just want a head study (most popular) or would you like a full body or background adding? Is it one dog, two dogs or 5 dogs you want painting?
We can accept photographs in the post or high quality digital images via email for commissions. We are in a position to take photographs ourselves, however, this always depends on how busy we are, distance and what is involved. Our preferred method is photos in the post, which are always returned.
Full payment is required upfront with the photographs before the commission is started, however, a full refund or replacement is offered if you are not completely satisfied with the commission.

FRAMING
For all our commissions and prints, we offer a full framing service. We can offer a large variety of frame colours, styles and sizes, all fully mounted to suit the subject and tones etc.

Unframed Commission £15.00 (UK only, Via Royal Mail Special Delivery fully insured)
Framed Commissions £30.00 (UK only, Via UPS fully insured)

PRICES
The commission prices below are based on a single head study, however, full body & backgrounds can also be added to the portrait for a small additional cost.. If you have several dogs, cats, horses or a variety of animals you would like painting for a commission, please contact us first but this is perfectly fine. Each additional subject is approx. 70% the cost of the initial subject. This is based on the head sizes being reduced but the same amount of work & detail has to go into the painting. The majority of Vic’s commissions are in pastels, this is because they create a beautiful fur texture in animals, and being built up in layers, pastels really bring the subject to life, as if they stand off the paper.
